The short answer is no. ALWAYS refer to your specific camera manufacturer's notes on which voltage will work for an external power source. Many cameras utilize 12 volt batteries, but some out there are 6 volts, so be careful and be sure to use the correct battery for your camera.

Absolutely. The beauty of the keyhole style hook on the rear of the CAMmo Can is that you use nearly any screw that has a flathead on it. This is especially useful when you switch from one favorite spot to the next. No need to remove the screw, just leave it right there in the tree or post!
